After 2 weeks of testing and experimenting with setups, the March 26th race at Lincoln Speedway started out to be very promissing. Chris along with Crew Chief Heath Rimback and the rest of the team produced an impressive car. Chris was able to run up to the 3rd position in his heat when suddenly a collapsed front wing caused handling problems. Even though Chris could only use about 3/4 of the throttle to keep from wheelstanding, He still kept his position and finished 3rd in his heat.
Starting in the 4th row of the feature, a controversial restart was called and the cars were lined back up. During the first lap, known rivals Glenndon Forsythe and Cliff Brian tangled, and a massive pileup that involved 10 cars followed. Unfortunately, Chris was caught in the middle of this mess. The car flipped several times destroying the racecar. Fortunately Chris was able to walk away from the accident with no major injuries.
The team will work on the 2nd car this week with plans to get back to racing by the weekend.
